Good afternoon,

I tried searching for this topic in the forum and got the old results in the returns. I hope this is not a repeated question.

I plan to arrive in BKK at Suvarnabhumi Airport with two big luggages. I do not wish to carry them to Hat Yai on the next day. I would like to see whether there are any temporary storage for the luggages at the airport for approximately 7-10 days.

If anyone has information, such as the names of the companies, telephone number, location (including the buildings, whether it is international or domestic), email address, please kindly post it here. Since I will be arriving very late, 1:00 a.m., will they open 24 hours? If you have the information, such as storage cost per piece, it will be wonderful. I do wonder whether they will accept only Thai currency.

Have anyone used this service before? I am concerned about the thief, even though the luggages are over there.

This most updated information will assist the trip. Thank you for your time. :o

The Left Baggage Rooms at the International and Domestic Passenger Terminals charge Baht 40/piece/day with a maximum storage allowed of 4 months. Tel: 535-1255, 535-1250 (International) and 535-1134 (Domestic)

Anyways - don't leave anything of value there - prob won't be there when you come back. (just clothes would be your best bet)

#1 is incorrect. Suvarnabhumi left luggage charges 100 baht per day per bag, not 40. After the first day, they charge 50 bat per day. See this web page. There have been numerous reports of theft from left luggage, and in any case they refuse to take any electronic gear, laptops etc. If you have anything valuable in what you want to check, use Bangkok Self Storage which is very professional and secure and costs 100 baht per bag per WEEK. Of course it will also cost the time and taxi fare to bring the bag to them and get it back.

Spose http://www.hotelthailand.com/airportservices.html has it wrong. :o

The receipt I have in my hand from Chubb left luggage next to the tourist police office is 100 Baht for the first 24 hours and 50 Baht for any following 12 hour period or part thereof.

That info is out of date. Obviously applies to the old airport ("Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Domestic Terminal"). There's a ton of stuff on the web still referring to Don Muang as "Bangkok International Airport." Shows you how often some outfits update their websites. Even Louis Tavern Dayrooms are still referring to Don Muang on their website - and they of all people should have an up-to-date web presence.

Thank you so much for your response.

I would like to know whether there are any type of lockers to keep the valuable items inside Suvarnabhumi airport? Right now, I believe that there is no secured storage for luggages, only left luggage services. If I am wrong, please let me know.

My plan has been changed because the plane does not leave until 2:00 p.m. to Hat Yai. So, I might need to rent a self-storage secured locker to put my overnight / duffle bag, which contains a few valuable items. I do not know whether there are some services like this. There are several of them in Germany or Japan.

If anyone can also post the information, I will be very much appreciated. Thanks.

p.s. I hate to carry them to everywhere I go. That's all.

A little word of warning for people using the Chubb left luggage office.

I left my suitcase there yesterday for 2 hours. The cashier Sukanya and her friends requested 200 Baht payment and issued a receipt for 100 Baht.

The receipt clearly states 100 Baht per piece per day up to 92 days and 200 Baht per piece per day for any days over 92.

I queried the amount and they started joking that their children needed money to buy milk amongst other excuses. Knowing I wasn’t impressed they handed the additional 100 Baht back.

2 other customers were asked for 200 Baht while I was there as well. One I recognized as placing 1 piece of luggage in storage at the same time I had.

Just a great welcome to the Land Of Scams.

Another great shoot yourself in the foot from Thailand.
