Applying for a k-1 visa and all i really have left to worry about is the "Affidavit of Support"...

I am just a meager working joe with not too much to my name so i am kind of nervous about this... I have read the requirements for a similar "required" affidavit to bring relatives to the states and the income requirements are above what i make...

I have asked several of my family members and they are all not willing to cosign for me... Mostly they do not want to give the government any of the financial info afraid of opening up problems... Some are worried about what they are responsible for... Some both... :D

What else can i do to qualify for the affidavit... ??

I was thinking about borrowing money from relatives to put in the bank... How much should i be looking at to balance my lack of income...

Has anyone had success with the k-1 who can give advise...

Or where can i go to get info and be perfectly clear i can qualify before i send all the paperwork in... ?? I only want to do this once... :D

How old are you? You need 125% of the poverty level which is approximately 15G's a year. Are you going to say you have a problem with that?

If you are looking to evade taxes by not showing 3 years of returns and showing "assetts" instead, you'll need to show 5 times the annual 125% of pverty level amount or roughly 75K.

Which you will then have to prove you paid taxes on eventually.

I am 27 years old and make less than 15K a year working in a factory... =[ Not only that i would like to put her unmarried child on the form to fallow my fiancee within a year as well, witch means i would need to make close to 20K a year... So yes that is a problem for me... =[

I am very serious about my ambitions to bring my fiancee to the states but there must be a way without making twice what i make... =]

Sounds like you need to get a second job or lean on mommy and daddy at 27 years of age.

These people have little opportunity in their lives. What's your excuse?

You think you're in a position to support a woman and child in a country which has the most opportunities in the world and you're looking to scam the system?

You need to grow up first.
