Felling Down...

Featured Replies

Hi folks. Just a self-centered thread.

I have been feeling down for the past week or so (no detail, no packdrill!) but so much so that people who know me have been asking, "what's up?" Usually prefaced with something like, "you're usually so up-beat" or "you're not your usual feisty self" - that sort of thing. (I admit, I am usually very positive and enthusiastic, it pisses some people off, but hey, that's me!!!)

I often visit Bedlam cos I find it a 'fun' place to be. So please fellow Bedlamtes, post something to cheer me up. I'm just not my usual up-beat self at the mo!

Cheers all

The Tiger.

Clear away the things you need to resolve and take time to focus on your spirituallity.

Like climbing a hill it is is the journey and not only the goal that will give you fulfilment.

:o

Tigs, you are a pal and a half, this I know beyond any reasonable doubt.

I hope to be able to make it up norf soon-ish (before christmas) if I'm able to, but I'm pretty bogged down at the moment.

We've ( a lot of us) have not been posting here much the past few weeks, but let it not be a reflection on you in any way.

Anyawy, I guess what I want to say is that I beg you to NOT go and find a high rise in Pattaya just yet.

Good times, even for best-natured tigers must always be preceeded and proceeded by down times.

Balance in all things, etc...

You can't be happy all the time.

One highlight of the things I look forward to is coming up Norf. So stay put, and cheer up ya bugger.

Start turning water into wine, for we'll need it if I visit.

:o

PS: What's felling?

A tree?

We all luvs ya, Suegha!! :o

Kayo's right - the fact that some of us haven't been around much lately is no reflection on you (or the other regular Bedlamites). Have missed you & hope you're feeling a little better. How 'bout a nice tummy rub & scratch behind the ears?

How 'bout a nice tummy rub & scratch behind the ears?

Oooh ..... yes please. Just the ears though, a tummy rub may have an undesirable effect on the larb I consumed last night..... it was one of Pah Pbun's five chilli kill the westerner specials.

"rain drops on roses and whiskers on kittens"

"always look on the bright side of life"

"every cloud has a silver lining"

They are only words and words have never dragged me out of a malaise, something always does though.

I currently have one eye on the monitor and one on 'I am Bob' ........ he is lying on the balcony rail and slowly nodding off, the rail is not that wide and there is a good chance he will fall at some point..... then he will give me that 'what? I meant to do that' look. Well, that's what happened last time.

There is always something happening around here that makes me crack a smile :D

Love ya Tigs...... your smiley moment will come :o

Hey Suegha, there's plenty to be happy about think about Bebops great news and the fact that we are half way to the weekend already!!

We have both a girl and a bum-thread going, what more do you need?

Hi Suegha me ol mate,

sorry to read you aren't feeling up to speed at the moment.

You are a positive type of guy, so things will work out soon.

I always look at the lows as a way of appreciating the highs when they come.

If you need or want to talk - remember there are any number of people who care about you. Send one or more of us a PM and maybe we can help.

If it makes you feel any better - I lost my job and got run over on the same day. No work, my bike looking like a banana. No severence pay and a repair bill of 24,000 Baht. Since then I have found out who my real friends are, who will help me when I really need it, and some very surprising results. I am about to start a new job in Singapore but can still live in Thailand.

Good things do come out of troubles

Think roses and horsesh1t

Thank you all for your supportive posts - I feel much better already!

Nothing too serious, just down. Being doing and taking on too much and just feeling over run with things. Then feelings of tiredness and not being able to catch up, you know, the vicious circle that life can become.

oh yeah, and today I'm having some major dental work done!!!

Some words of wisdom:

Show me a person that smiles all the time and I will show you a fuking idiot.

There, feel better?

Mary Black- A song for Ireland

I am sorry to hear you fell :o a little down, my friend.

So I searched and found this, it might not make you smile, but it will hopefully uplift your heart as it does mine.

I had a bad day today, compounded by the Boss playing hard ball about signing off my holiday form, so I was just about to ring the Good Ladt to tell her, I was about to resign, and he relented.

So this gave me back my happy feeling, I hope it does the same for you.

Good luck

Moss

Actually this wet weather has been really hard on my arthritis, my back hurts coming down the stairs in the morning and today the dog didn't really want to go for a walk. I got two guys coming to stay next week who I know are going to give me a hard time and my wife's mother yelled at her the other day for not looking after me well enough.

Jeez I wish I was making this up. :o

Hope these cheer you up a tad.

I was referring to the only one I have had in 15 years. The one when people wondered where I had got to and I was lying under an Isuzu Pickup truck thinking this hurts.

CB

hope this helps to make you smile

You calling me an idiot?

:D :D

Disclaimer, Sometimes I do not smile. I usually reserve these moments for my private time.

Well I can´t think on something funny to tell you at the moment...that´s maybe because I am writting an essay about water problems of the main world cities...

but having a second though...maybe just maybe...i can help you to distract your mind for the upsetting feelings if you are willling to write my 3000 words essay on Mediterranean coastal problems... :o in english, of course!!!!

ok stop the nonsenses...i also considered myself an up-beat and positive person but sometimes i need to have some days that i am a bit down...so that i can come back with full positive energy again...The days i feel down i have a positive though that always help me to overcome them" Well Glauka you can´t be happy everyday so just stay depressed and enjoy it"

Oh gosh maybe i am the idiot whose jeff1 is talking about... :D

Tiggy we all love you...and as someone has say in this thread if you need to talk about anything just press on the pm option i am sure many people will be happy to read you...myself among them...

Well folks, what can I say...

Robski - thanks for the 'unlikely' reply.

Kayo - you're a top bloke, look forward to seeing you.

NR - You're a darling!

Taddy - thanks for the (several) inspiring words.

quiksila - for the reminder that there's plenty to rejoice in!

Sondman - what can I say? Fab!

TAWP - for the reminder... :o

CB - 'roses and horseshit' Brill!

Jeff1 - funny, and it made me feel better!

Moss - you're a diamond. I had forgotton how good Mary Black is!

Sceadagenga - weather! I know what you mean...

Mig - thanks for the saucy pm! Should we publish the photos in Bedlam? :D

Colino - laughed me arse off!

Glauka - nice to see you back. Believe me, I could write that essay!

All in all folks I'm feeling on top form!

Any cure for feeling life is truely wonderful?

So where's the photos of baby sceadugengen and baby Robskis to cheer us up?

See it's all favoritism, no one cares about us or wants to say nice things to cheer us up. Bad backs and stubbed toes can be very painful but do we start threads looking for sympathy, no... we're too considerate to waste other peoples time.

And another thing..... :o

Sorry I'm late to the party but I've been busy looking for something to cheer you up. Not feeling completely up to the daunting task, I ask a few people for help. "Suegha needs help? No problem!" They all replied, and everyone set to work trying to find ways to cheer you up.

These guys all agreed to kiss cows;

Thought this cat might help, but he turned out to just be annoying;

And this dog was otherwise busy (and none too bright)

Not having any luck with animals and being frankly disturbed at the number of available pictures of human-bovine kissing, I gave up and decided to have one of my favourite comics make fun of the English for you. Hope it gives you a laugh.

That last one is truly hilarious ..... I think I'll watch his other stuff on there.

suegha,

this is for you my friend. took it myself at chiang mai zoo and posting a video of it in the youtube thread. beautiful little animal. had my hands in his mouth and little nibbles on them the way a dog would do.

his sharp teeth did get a little deep scratch on my finger though.

Tigger , Tigger.

Afraid I can't do the group-hug kissy-kissy stuff , even witnessing it makes me queasy.

Best I can do is :

Hope you've got over your time-of-the-month OK and are firmly back in "I'm all right and <deleted> the begrudgers" mode.

But remember

The darkest hour is just before it goes truly pear-shaped

So

Keep your chin up , yours eyes open and your sphinctre tight.

:o
