Diving Around Samui

Featured Replies

Just done an openwater in Koh Tao and was looking around the internet for dive boats that leave from Samui.

All the ones i found so far seemed very expensive compared with Koh Tao.

can anyone recommed a dive boat which goes to the island at the south of samui (koh tan ??) as I've heard there is some decent diving there.

cheers

Hi, the reason the boats from Saui are more expensive than Koh Tao is that most of the boats diving from Samui sail to Tao to dive. I dont know many boats that dive in the marine park. If you want to rack up some dives you would be better going to Tao and diving there. Cheaper and you are not spending 3 hours bouncing along in a boat there and back. I would also recommend Chumphon where I dive out of but the season here is about finished for this year. Good diving :o

If you have your own gear I could take you on my boat. We could negotiate a price. Keep in mind that right now the waves are very big and the price of fuel has gone up. With those 2 factors gasoline alone is more than most people are willing to pay (on Koh Phangan anyway... with all the tight ass backpackers).

havent got any gear at the moment except a mask. maybe I could hire some then take you up on the offer. will probably do a few more dives in koh tao first before though, thanks for the reply.

Just out of interest - I am a regular visitor to Samui - and not into diving, but love boating - what sort of boat do you have?

Just enter one dive shop and book a divetrip! Easy isn't it?

To recommand, Coral Grand Divers and Easy Divers. They have nice boats and very friendly staff.
