Featured Replies

im looking for new things to do besides eat/drink all though those recommendations are welcome too.

fishing, boating/kayaking on the khlongs, tennis, badminton, swimming, golf, cycling.

over weekends I would rather go outside town - country walking, mountain biking

My favourite activity in Bangkok is to get into a car, taxi, train airplane bus whatever is available and get the hel_l out of there... :o

fishing on Bungsam Lan Lake in bangkok or the nearest reasonably clean khlong or pound

search google for a list of venues and choose the closest to your place

there are some bike companies doing rides in bangkok itself - on the west side of the river. No hills - but rough terrain and jungle-like trails

shopping and meeting new potential gik

my favorite thing to do is BKK would have to be:

SHOPPING!!!!!

i love all the malls they have over there...one-stop shopping for everything...:o

MBK, street markets and food stalls, Grand Palace, Chatuchak and at the end of the day a cold beer outside my favourite hotel (well the only one i'v been too, The Residence, Petchburi) talking Tinglish with the bar staff.

Ha. Sounds like a true playa playa! Ain't nothing wrong about that :D I kinda do that too in the city of BKK if I don't get on the wheels and out of the city to any where close, got some fresh air, country sightseeing, see lives on the other side of the city on weekend or whenever I can.

I guess you're a woman? :o

I went go-karting in RCA last week, which was really good fun, only 390 Baht for 2 ten minute races during their "happy hour" (from 7pm till 9pm I think).

Apart from this I like going to the driving range, swimming, also planning on starting playing squash and tennis. There is a lot to do here if you can get out of the rut of going to the pub/malls.

The Go Cart track at RCA isn't all that good i dont think.

The carts are really slow, even the biggest ones they do are boring.

I'm looking at buying a car at the moment, so i can get out the city at weekends!!!

and the theater in the evening. i love going to theater.

i don't know about you though...!! :o

i hope it's not sounds ..humm..boring!! :D

Going to the cinema! (I like the Lido, because they also screen unusual films) Going to book stores. And I WAS looking forward to the Copperfield show :o

Sorry, maybe I should have pointed out that they are not fine tuned racing class carts for the seasoned professional.

But if you are looking for something different to do in BKK which won't cost you a fortune, then go-karting is a great option.
