I am stopping in Bangkok next week for one night with my wife and baby. Could anyone suggest a cheap hotel for the night, say less than 1000baht? I would be very grateful for you advice. The location isn't too important.

The Suchumvit Crown Hotel is cheap and the always have rooms availeble....it`s located between Soi 6-8 Suchumvit Road..... Ask for a room without breakfast, it should cost around 1000 BHT...

Probably too late but I highly recommend Starry Place which is a serviced apartment close to Victory Monument. Very clean, secure and modern one bedroom suites for about 1000 baht a night. You can book them at starryplace.com or call them at 02-246-4477. They are located on soi Rangnam. Not close to Sukhumvit but bit nicer for families. A block and half from the skytrain station.
