Tt&t Maxnet Uploading

Featured Replies

Has anyone had any experience with TT&T uploading large files? I have a premier package with TT&T. I have been trying to upload a backup file of about 360mb to a new server. I can only upload about 200mb then it stalls and disconnects. When I try to resume the upload spped drops to 2.8Kbs. It then disconnects again after about a minute. TT&T's technical support is about usless. They call back after 12 to 14 hours later I suspect hoping the problem has resolved. I have more than enough room on my server in the US for the file. My US hosting company's instant and excellent tech support already told me the problem is not on their end which I already suspected. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix the problem since I doubt I will hear from TT&T until this evening at the earliest.

I actually heard from tech support this morning. The excuse as usual is that a lot of people want to use the international bandwidth. There is nothing that can be done to fix the upload speed. If I could even get the to continue unabated it would take over 16 hours to complete the upload at 2.8Kbs. As it is it has to be reconnected every minute so it would take over 24 hours to complete. When it was uploading at 48Kbs it would have taken about 2 hours. So much for the IT Hub of Southeast Asia plan. Anyone ever found the speeds to be as advertised by the ISPs?
