hi i am in the process of applying for a first time vv for the uk , a few things i would like to know if they can be answered

1, my g/f has been told she will need to provide proof that she is single ?( by her friends ) true or false as she is living in b/k but comes from ubon ratchathani she thinks if true she will have to go back to ubon for the said proof

2, i am getting my brother to send a letter of sponser to me as we will be staying in his home ,do i need to write a letter as well ,my only problem is i dont have any excess to my uk bank statements ,all i have is proof of pensions amounting to 1000 pound a month plus i have a thai bank account with 600,000 baht in it but i dont get a money transfer on a regular basis

i plan to use the said bank acc as proof of funds for trip plus my brother will write that he will give any financial help if needed

will this be enough for the application ?

thanks for any help on this matter

She does not need proof that she is unmarried but she does need to declare that she is so on the application form so she should tell the truth else she could have problems later.

The Embassy will approve or disapprove her application based on their stated criteria and this means:

1) Are sufficient funds available to cover her visit and her return and can those funds be clearly seen.

2) Is she likely to return to Thailand - does she have adequate reason to return because she has money here and/or owns property here.

If those two major criteria are met she will likely be granted a visa unless there is another negative reason floating around that has not been declared such as a significant criminal record..
