Break In Last Night

Featured Replies

Stopped off at Don's as usual on the way home this afternoon and found that the minimart door was totally off. It was business as usual inside but with a few things missing.

Someone or some people apparently broke in last night. They smashed the door, took the Soi Dog Foundation donation box, the computer, phone cards, money etc. They also went into the deli. :o I spoke to one of the staff and she told me about it. Around 5.30 this evening the front door was finally being repaired.

What is Rawai coming to? First the motorbike attacks and now this. If you are familiar with Don's you will know that it is right on a main road, well lit and has several security cameras. Whoever it was couldn't have been to bright. Hopefully the cops will nab them before too long.

I am more and more nervous in this area now. I make sure my gate is locked and my dogs are inside the house with me. I, for one, am not taking any chances. It is not as safe as it used to be. :D

That is really terrible. I alwasy think of that part as being a bit safer. How do you take a whole door off and no one noticing? is it a "My pen wry" thing?

What about the cameras?

I wonder if they can track the user of the mobile phone cards. would be worth it just to keep the area safer!

Yes I agree terrible to feel nervous now when i drive in that area, which I do daily around 6ish.

Police have seen the videos from the cameras and it clearly shows the culprits breaking down the doors and doing what they did.  There were a bunch of police at Don's in the morning after the break in viewing what happpened.

The Plod may conclude ,in their wisdom, that the door removers were there to repair the hinges. :o

yeah but you have to wonder why nobody noticed what was going on. No doubt the usual "its not happening to me so i odn't give a toss" syndrome.

Amazing though, main road with shops and houses all around.

Think I might have to go and invest in a rhodesian ridgeback or similar for leaving in the shop overnight - trouble is of there was a break in there would so much cleaning up of the mess the following day. Mind you, wouldn't need to feed the dog for a few days :o

I was shopping in Dons last evening 6 o clock buying cheese and fresh bread and saw the door was removed and a team working to repair the entrance.

In Ao Chalong we had a problems several times during the years, Yachts was broken in to at nights.

One year there was 11 boats broken in to in only one month,

In the end the crew of one of the dive boats was arrested , taken red-handed after many boats was keeping a night watch with a good binocular ( until now we haven’t got any problems ,now for a couple of years).

So if you notice something not right in the aria, don’t hesitate to call the police or make a civil arrest with help of naboes.

If the bad guys se that you get arrested in this aria they will not come here anymore and find other easy target instead.

....same here:

But not sure if he would lick a stranger to death. As soon as he is introduced to someone absolutely friendly.

When I'm not at home he is protecting his biggest love: my wife!

Once a strange Thai man tried to jump over our wall during day time, but only tried.....
