Embassy Cars

Was down the OZ embassy today and saw a really nice new commodore there. I wonder where they retire these cars. I rarely see them for sale on the regular car websites. Probably cost an arm and a leg to service here though. Any thoughts?

I know that Barcelona Motors get the BMWs 5 series..sometimes go before they reach the show room though..they come from the Palace. You have to ask to get on the waiting list.

Well, if they're diplomatic cars on blue plates then they're NOT sold on the local market. They're brought in without duty or anything, but it's expected that they leave again.

The people from the US Embassy do bring in cars from abroad and they are left hookers and will surely leave or be passed onto the next incumbent.

Is there such a thing as a nice one? Thought it was an out-of-date looking barge. Unsophisticated but loved by the Aussies cos of it's big engine - like the Americans they are easily pleased.

And what is it with these diplomats that have to have cars specially brought over on tax payers money? What a waste.

Well, nice compared to my car and most other cars found in LoS (they probably only cost 1.2 milliion baht back home). What do we get for 1.2 here? Not even a new 2.4 accord or camry!
