I'd be grateful if someone with experience or knowledge on this subject could enlighten me: If I buy an iPhone from Singapore, can I use it here? How can I get it unlocked, if at all?

All the IPhones in Singapore (just like the ones in Thailand) are grey market and sold unlocked. I was in SG a month ago and the IPhone wasn't any cheaper there than they were here.
