Losing It On Purpose

Featured Replies

Sometimes I think we all need ot lose it once in awhile. Go crazy, lose control and let loose. Something that helps blows of steam but also gives you a sense of freedom and of being alive. So, what is the best way to lose it? Where is the best place to lose control and feel for the moment? List whatever you think, skydiving , I don't care, just tell me why you listed it.

Cheers!!!

:D Okay, Football is a good form of 'losing it'.....thanks for sharing Jockstar. :D

:D Very funny. I do agree with you though!

I seem to do a lot of travelling to places you would not normally go, for example I spent the last few whatevers living amongst 500 other guys on a barge in the middle of the sea of okhotsk

SO spending time at home for me is 'losing it' strange as it sounds.

But give me a few weeks at home and I feel I need to head off for a new adventure, that saddest part about this is that I sometimes miss seeing my kids.

Contact sports has always done it for me. Vent one's aggression on the field, shake hands and have a few beers with a bloke who you were trying to kill half an hour ago....lovely.

However, after so many years of above, now find myself to be an orthopedic wreck and find I'm getting more and more bloody aggressive, driving, with staff, at home etc etc..........Not at all sure what to do now to get a modicum of control back in my life................heeeeeellllllppppppppp

I NEVER lose it....I'm ALWAYS IN CONTROL, dammit.... :D

I alternate a Zen tea pouring ceremony, with shooting high powered automatic rifles at watermelons (at varying distances).....works for me. :o

Just call some callcenter, yell at the person on the other side...in case of doubt, they deseved it...

/edit: for the fun of it

When I was a young apprentice, working at some height putting a rather heavy stone on an ancient battlement, it just wouldn't go right, now patience is a Masons best friend, something I sadly lack, so I just picked it up and threw it on the scaffold to vent a pent up anger.

Only to turn round and see the Old Mason shaking his head with pursed lips and a shaking head, with a single sentence, ' tut, tut, tut, you only have to pick it up and do exactly the same thing again, waste of effort'.

Went on to help me do it properly, kicked me up the arse and sent me off to make the tea.

Contact sports ensued.

Okay, don't lose it, control it!

I have been controlling it for years. I have, because of my crazy childhood, terrified of losing control of myself in any way and when I have in the past I have regretted it. So, I still have a hard time loosening up.

Okay,so we have a big vote for contact sports

SEX.

Someone had to say it :o

When I really want to let go I prefer a 'risky' sport that I am in control of, and really going for it, with 100% commitment.

I enjoy kneeboarding. When behind a boat or on a cable I love to try new moves. Even when you know you are unlikely to make but you go all out and get some LARGE air anyway! That is freedom to me that moment when I'm sailing in the air*, just before it all ends in a nasty faceplant, that moment feels AWESOME and it makes it all the pain worthwhile :o

*I can get about 1 meters worth of air on a kneeboard behind a proper wakeboarding boat, which feels like plenty when your kneeling down!!

When I feel like losing it I go to a bar, get drunk and p*ss people off. If they stand up and want to fight ,I run around the bar screaming like a little girl. When I run out the door and they follow me, my friend hits them on the head with a baseball bat and we steal his wallet. Go back inside and start drinking again. Hey, works for me. :o

It would appear to be OK, if you're the one with the bat !!!!!!

yeah...but why you again? :D

On the very rare occasion it happens, I find a quiet bar and have a few drinks (by myself) until I settle down. And it only ever happens if, by coincidence, a string of events within a short time frame pish me off.

If you happen to wander into the same bar Jeff, I will grab a pool cue and avoid following you out any doors. :o

Where are you? And no, leave your friend behind, I have friend who loves holding blunt objects. :D

I have the awful infliction of talking to myself, I even do it when in company. So i shout regularly at myself and then kick the cat (just kidding). I even have arguments with myself - guess who wins?

Chicago, until January. Im not even going to comment on your last sentance. :D:D

I am losing it, letting off steam or is it another post where people go off topic and discuss their shopping lists?

O.C and that stuff is <deleted>, I stand by my comment. I hate it all, I want to ram it in lucifers backside where it should remain for eternity. I hate it, god knows I hate it!

As in the Tv Show, or just the real county in Cali? I have never been to Cali and I have never bothered with the show, either way I don't think I am missing much.
