My friend's Thai wife has been here on a 2 year settlement visa since June.

Today they went to a high street travel agents to book tickets for a holiday to Thailand in January. (expensive!!!) Just about to book the flights, the clerk asked for their passports, (which they had to return home to get) on seeing Nim's visa, he baulked & mentioned if there was any problems my friend would lose the flight fee.

AFAIK there should be no problem Nim returning to Thailand & then re-entering the UK at any time within the validity of the 2 year settlement visa.

Another friends Ukrainian wife has just done exactly that.

Can anyone who knows for sure, please confirm my thinking is correct?

Scouse?

Providing that her circumstances remain unchanged; i.e. she remains in a relationship with her husband, and there is adequate maintenance and accommodation available, she does not require another visa to return to the UK whilst the current one is valid.
