G-325a Form When Filing I-129f

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm sitting here in the USA, trying to file the I-129F to kick off the process of getting a K1 for my Thai fiance.

I thought I'd be able to do everything on this side, and the I-129F was no problem. But the instructions say that I also need to submit the G-325A (biographical data) form for both me & the fiance. This form needs to be signed and dated.

Am I going to need the fiance to fill it out on her side, sign & date it, then snail mail it to me? Is there any way around this?

Thanks

Was going to send you a PM, but you have them turned off.

I would just fill it out for her and sign it for her. Have her send you a scan of the form in email so you can fill it out in the US and copy her signature.

Yes....snail mail. But on the good side, It will be one more piece of evidence confirming your relationship......save all your envelopes and package wrappings with addresses.

Proof of your relationship is very important.

If she does send it snail mail, have her scan and email you a copy so that you can make sure it is filled out correctly before she mails it to you. It would be bad if she did not fill it in correctly and then you get it, see it is wrong, she then has to do it again and you have to wait again.

Good idea, a scan or a fax to check that all is correct.

Of course, you could snail mail the already filled out form, by you, for her just to sign.  I think there's a spot at the bottom where you also sign as the "filler outer" of the form.  Sure a lot better than faking her signature.

Hi,

I'd have her sign it rather than forging her signature. Unless I'm mistaken it also asks for her name to be written in her native alphabet so I think that will be tough to forge. Use Fed ex if you don't want to use regular mail. Good luck.
