A friend of mine from the USA is in Bangkok as an intern for the UN, and she needs a Thai language tutor who is available in the evenings. I don't live in Bangkok, so don't know any tutors there.

Anyone have any ideas?

She has already contacted AUA and several other language schools, and none of them offer evening tutors. She would prefer someone with language teaching experience, but might consider a non-professional with proper 'literate' Thai as she needs to practice speaking, reading and writing for a graduate exam next year.

I just finished a series of private Thai lessons and was really happy with my instructor. She lives downtownish and was able to come to my condo for the lessons in the evening. Her English was quite good too which helped a-lot as I was starting from scratch. I hope she wouldn't mind me posting her # (sure she wouldn't) 09-884-1315 her name is Hong.

Thanks for responding, Ninja. In the end my friend found a language school on Silom that was open in the evenings so was able to get her language needs met there. However I may pass your number on to another friend who needs tutoring if that's OK with you.
