CORRECTION to my last input, the bars on soi cowboy WILL BE OPEN 15 and 16, normal hours,HOORAY, dont know about other locations,come on down and ask for the election day special. BARS OPEN ARE << fanny bar,,,toy bar,,, jungle jim and moonshine,>>bring your own tissue, it should be an emotional day.

I walked by Patpong on my way to BTS last night and everything was roaring, so were several other bars I passed and the normal expat bar I went to. Restaurants I went to were serving with no problems, though I saw a number of localish places that weren't in my soi. I did notice many, many bars closed with the sign and 7-11s and the like aren't selling anywhere I've been, but it certainly doesn't look like it's being very seriously enforced in tourist quarters and even in a number restaurants. Like the guy said before, it's surely based on arrangements with local constabulary.
