Mobile Phone Problems In Korat Area?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have been trying to contact a friend near Korat and we spoke a few times last week but the reception was terrible. The last 2/3 days I cannot get through at all.

Anyone in the area having problems? Or maybe they just ignoring me.

Thanks

I ring Korat everyday from australia , when i stay in korat i have a lot of calls come to my mobile , never had a problem .

Well just today my wife spent the usual interminable amount of time talking to her sister who is on her way back from BKK, she was in Korat at the time (actually probably Khon Kaen by the time they had finished yacking :o ) No problems.

Perhaps it depends which network they are on?

It was the SEA GAMES in Korat (6 to 15 December). All hotels were fully booked, much more tourists and people than usual.

Television using satellites, etc.

Maybe it was a part of the problem....

It could be a bandwidth problem, not now though as said above.

Satellite TV uses completely different frequencies to mobile phones, and its only receivers in households.

No chance of interference from that, unless the friend has spent several days next to the few (local cable company) satellite links sending IP packet received messages and there was some out of band overspill from badly made equipment. An unlikely scenario.

Today no problem, I suggest the OP tries again, or perhaps they are being ignored :o

I think the 12Call network has been having a few problems. Im in Korat and my Signal has completely gone a few times over the last week, only for an hour or so.

1-2- Call are not a physical network, they are a second tier supplier selling services. Who do they use now? I think they moved to DTAC.

Anyway whatever, the OP seems to have lost interest in responding and has disappeared into Cyberspace :o
