You can't change your gender as registered on either your birth certificate or passport, but you may wish to consider undergoing a civil partnership in Austria. You will then be effectively "married" and can seek a settlement visa to stay there on this basis.

I not 100% sure, but as they are members of the European Union, I would think that they do. Ask at the Rathaus where you live.
