Looking For Reliable Orthopedic Doctor Or A Natural Alternative

I posted this in Health forum but got only one response so I thought I would give it a try here as well.

Over a 1 1/2 month ago, I fell off of my bicycle back in the USA and landed on my left hand. I had what appears to be minor trauma in my wrist and minor swelling around hand knuckles. As long as I did not put a lot of pressure on my knuckles, my hand was very usable and I waited for my hand to heal naturally. I continued to do normal things using my hand including riding my bike. I figured when I got here I would have it examined if it didn't improve a lot. It only improved a little with the knuckles still swollen, so over a week ago, I went to CM Ram and the Ortho Dr. on duty had it x-rayed and examined. The doctor didn't find anything wrong other the the swelling and just gave me a 7 day prescription to bring the swelling down. I researched the drug and found that Merck (the drug manuf) removed its (USA) FDA request for approval last April, so I didn't get it.

I would prefer a gentler natural remedy to bring the swelling down and heal my hand but absent that, before I start taking potentially dangerous drugs, I want a good non-craze drug doctor to examine me further and tell me I have no other choice except to take a drug.

I am confused whether I put ice on my hand or soak it in warm water. The ortho doctor recommened that I put it in warm water. Is that because he thought I would be taking the drug he prescribed to reduce the swelling. Since I am not taking the drug, is it better to ice it?

Any recommendation would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dr Sudhee 0817641400

Renowned orthopaedic surgeon - I suggest you at least have him look at it and take your x-rays along.

Is he located in CM?

Yes, on the Super Highway, somewhere (?) between Tesco Lotus ( and on the same side of the Highway ) and Huay Kaew Road.

Sorry can't be more specific.

Cheers

Dr Sudhee is an excellent doctor perhaps the best I have ever seen anywhere.

If you go along the Superhighway towards the Rincome junction it is almost opposite Wat Jed Yot. It is in the next row of shophouses after the Esso garage. Very easy to find.

Hope he can help.

I believe he was orthopaedic consultant to the late Queen Mother.
