Which Hotel?

Featured Replies

Just wanting some advice on which hotel to stay at while in Khon Kaen in April, have stayed in the Sofitel before and was happy with it, but there rates seemed to have doubled from last year :o:D nearly 3,500 baht a room now. My wife is from khon Kaen and has said that the Charoen Thani princess hotel was also good, rooms around 1,600 baht a night. Which hotel would you stay at?? any other decent hotels around Khon Kaen??

Cheers

Charoen Thani princess is decent hotel in a central location.

Naka.

This Hotel is getting a lot of good reviews on the local KK forum.

Or here Next to the airport if you don't mind being outside the town. Check out the special offers. A really good hotel, but about 9 k from the town.

I've always stayed at the Kosa when in KK probably not the best but clean comfortable and reasonably priced

Yep, I'll second that. When I first visited Thailand, I stayed at the "big three" in KK and I reckon that the Kosa is the best all-rounder.

Hi,

If you prepay a superior room at the Sofitel e.g. 12/4 and 13/4 the room rate is THB 2,660++ but if you book through sawadee.com the price for a superior room (also prepaid) is only THB 2,200 and that includes service charge, tax and breakfast. I have used sawadee many times and it has always worked well. You have the link here.

I have also stayed at the Charoen Thain Princess but that hotel is not a match for the Sofitel. As a matter of fact I do not like that hotel very much. If you still want to stay in the city Kosa is probably the best budget alternative to Sofitel.

I prefer the Kosa over the Princess cost is about the same breakfast is not as good atr Kosa but I like the location better across from the Oasis.
