Hello everyone, im new to this site so please bear with me.

I need some help regarding my wifes sv application.

A bit of back ground, we met 14 months ago in Thailand, been back three times to visit her, two weeks each time, recently married 5 weeks ago.

We are both 25 years old, she has no job as i support her and have done throughout.

We have about 30 photos of us together, we talk daily and i have all my telephone records, we have no emails or letters as we speek daily and feel no need to write or mail eachother.

I am employed and earn approx £ 13000 per year after tax.

I live with my mother and little brother in a three bedroomed house in england which she rents each week.

My mother says there is no problem about me and my wife living there.

I have no real debts, but the problem is my last 6 months bank statements show me overdrawn with my bank by approx £1000 each month, will this be bad for her application? i have a weekly salary entering my account each week so they can see this on the statements.

i hope someone can be of help to me

thankyou

Hi James,

Im not an expert but looking on this site you will see that having an overdraft is not realy a problem as long as you have a regular income coming in, and you will not need help from public funds.

My background is a bit like yours, im always overdrawn and my wifes visa application is being put in monday morning.

Good luck

Hello if i was to borrow the money to clear my overdraft would this look dodgy on my statements, or having statements showing me overdrawn isnt much of a problem.

we plan to make the applicationas soon as possible so clearing my overdraft is in possible in such a short time.

thank you

hi,

the embassy picked up on my bank statements as i also get paid weekly and one week showed a balance of £2 and refused the visa ?

i would like to add that the main reason the refused the visa was they said there was no proof i earned £32k per year of which they had had sufficient evidence to proove this ?

but anyway we appealed the descion and the embassy in bkk backed down 1 week before there deadline to have there paperwork back to the uk for the appeal and overturned the descion . hence wife in uk now :o and very cold bless her >

hope this helps but seems they will try anything and hope you dont appeal ( my opinion anyway )
