Green Card For Thai National On H1b In Usa

Featured Replies

Hi Experts,

I dont know if anyone is having this situation as mine. I am a Thai national and am currently in the US, working on a H1B Visa. My boyfriend, an Indian is staying in US since 3 years. We two now plan to get married. Since Indians have a huge population in the US, so the green card processing time for them in around 6-7 years. I have heard that Green card processing time is considerably less for Thai nationals - but I am not sure how less or the exact duration. We are scared that if we get married and dont get a green card in another 3 years time then my fiancee would have to leave US and then we don't know where to go. If the green card processing time of Thai nationals is considerably less then we are planning to apply my green card through my company and include my to be husband name in it - that way he would get the green card in much lesser time compared to the time it will take for him to apply through his company.

If anyone is knowledgeable enough to tell us the processing times of green card of a Thai national, then it would be of great help to us. We also welcome any other alternative that you guys think could help us. Please help us, at this time we are very tensed and all our thoughts are getting drained thinking about how to stay together. We are not aversed to taking the help of a Immigration lawyer - but please don't tell us something which would instead create hardships for us.

Thank you very much for reading this,

Champion.
