Quick question for Photoshop buffs.

Have a wall in the house with one colour, and want to do a mock up in another colour to see what it would look like. As the photo imported has different shades, how do you replace the shades of all the yellow to the same intensities of a different colour ( i.e. green, brown / what ever).

Thx.

There are probably several ways you could do this - here's a simple one you might try.

Open up your picture and go to the Toolbox and choose the Color Replacement tool. It is hidden behind the Healing Brush in Photoshop CS2.

Open up another photo that contains the colour you would like to use as a replacement.

Take the Color Replacement tool and hold it over the colour you want. Hold down Alt on the PC and click once. That will sample your chosen colour.

Then bring up the picture you want to doctor (click on it if it is underneath the one with the sample colour and it will come on top) and paint the wall or whatever with the new colour. You may have to increase the size of the brush to speed up the operation.
