Hi,

I work in a financial company and they want and need i use a VPN connection on internet.

Do you think thai gouvernement scan the network and can request to look in my archives on my computer if i use a VPN connection ?

Thanks.

I very much doubt it!

There is a clear difference between using for example a proxy to either hide your real IP/identity, or to visit banned websites, as opposed to using a VPN to secure the connection to your home office for security reasons.

Even though they passed a law allowing them to search computers at will, as of yet I have heard no reports of the authorities actually doing this, apart from searches on computers of arrested people (where there is a real chance they will find something aiding their prosecution!).

I've been using VPNs in my business for many years in Thailand. As long as you have a decent broadband connection, it's the most secure and private way to get important email.

Hi, i just buy a VPN from VPNGates, but doesn't work.

A friend of mine just give me one for try, i'm looking for a good VPN, if you have some address.

Thanks.

I do not know if we are allowed to post links. I use a great vpn service. PM me for details.

You can post links as long as that links do NOT pointing to you own Website, Business pp., so others even can profit form your "knowledge"!

Cheers.

Hmm.. i am a bit confused. I work for a US based company that requires VPN, the way it works is that they set it up, they have a VPN server running, and I just connect to it.

The services you can buy off the internet are a VPN tunnel to some server in the U.S... mainly to get around censorship. The VPN from Thailand to the U.S. is secure, but the link from the VPN company to the financial services company would be unsecured. So I am not sure what this is all about?!

If you want to have secure access to the financial services company, they will have to provide the VPN for you... unless I am missing something...

Exactly, you are not missing anything. That's normal practice, either it's Cisco or a Microsoft solution, but you normally would create a VPN connection directly with your company's VPN server, wherever that one is located.
