Rain Near Chum Phae

Featured Replies

I phoned the wife this morning and she told me it has been light rain for the last 3 days in Chum Phae (East Issan).

This must be unusual this time of the year but welcome none the less. It must be under the influence of the very large storm front moving through Southern China at the moment.

Anyone else getting rain?

Khun Andy

Its been raining on and off for the last few days in North Issan.

Very strange for the time of year, but her much beloved flower boxes are getting the benefit :o

Actually, its very common to get rain this time of year. Its called "mango showers", because the mango trees are in bloom.

During the dry season we usually get a good soaking rain every 2 or 3 months. It cleans the dust off everything and the landscape goes from brown to green. Its really refreshing!
