I'm thinking of flying from Bangkok to Langkawi near the end of October. Which airlines make the trip (any discount ones. links please)? Do you think it would be better to take a air-hotel package or just book a place when I get there? There are two of us and the hotel budget maxes out at 2000 Baht - less would be very great.

BTW, any recommendations for places to stay (availability of Thai food is essential to gf).
