For various reasons we have decided to go for FLR, due in April. The misses insisted on taking the test anyway so she's doing it on Friday. After, hopefully, passing the test can she apply for ILR at any time during the 2 years of FLR using the passed test or must she wait till the end and retake the test then?

She must have lived in the UK for 2 years to apply for ILR however the B&IA allow her to apply upto 28 days before reaching the 2 year milestone.

She can sit the 'life in the UK' test whenever she feels like it and once passed it is good for her lifetime

If she passes, yet you choose to apply for FLR in April (why would you do that :o ?) she can apply for ILR whenever she wishes before the FLR expires.

Thanks Mahout Angrit. The ILR/FLR is a somewhat touchy subject for us at the moment but at this time I think that FLR is the way to go for us.
