Farewell To Fellow Riders

Featured Replies

It is sad to say that on 29 January, Kelsy Sherbaniuk (from Canada) died after having an accident while riding his Harley in the Jomtien area. The Pattaya Mail article can be found here: Canadian motorcyclist dies in collision with baht bus

From the way the article is worded, it seems that in trying to avoid an accident, Kelsy became the victim of an accident.

Those that have been following the Thailand News Clippings will no doubt be aware that Dale Henry from Canada (recently murdered in Ranong) was also a Harley rider. Reports indicate that his ride was stolen from his home shortly after his death, and has been apparently seen being driven around the Ranong area.

While the murders of two Canadians (Dale Henry and Leo del Pinto) have generated thousands of posts, and over 100,000 views, fellow Canadian Kelsy's death has gone by virtually unnoticed. There was a short article in the Pattaya People, and another in the Pattaya Mail, and that's it (well that and the couple of mentions I've made in different posts here on TV).

A good friend of Kelsy's came across one of those posts I made elsewhere in the forum, and sent me a PM with a little bit of detail on Kelsy.

Apparently Kelsy was an "overseas" worker on oil rigs, and made the decision to live his dream and move to Thailand around 9 months ago. The news article mentions his age as 25 (and they misspelled his name as well).

I didn't know him personally (though I may have met him during the bike trip a lot of us went on in December, or at one of the watering holes in Pattaya). Apparently he was known to hang out at Sharkies once in awhile. Given time we would no doubt have crossed paths and swapped stories about how great life is in Thailand, hockey, the different places we've worked and other "worldly" matters. :o

Unfortunately, that time will never come.

For Kelsy and Dale, RIP and let the roar of your Harley's shake the foundations of Heaven itself !

A very sad week for all concerned, especially for Canadians. The fact that Dale Henry's ride was stolen and has been seen being ridden around just ices this rancid cake.

R.I.P. boys

Hey fellas...thank you for honoring Dale!!! May he rest in peace.

My younger brother Richard has just arrived in Thailand to take care of those issues.

His Harley was his prized possesion...but not until he took care of her family! So sad but very honerable.
