Would like to spend a couple of days b4 Christmas time in Bangkok and would be pls if can anyone tell recommend a hotel in BKK with good swimming pool and fitness facilities but not very far from the center in order to shop in the evening.

Stayed at the hotel Asia on my first trip to Thailand a bit out of my price range these days!! Its got 2 swimming pools one on the roof and also a fitness centre plus its right opposite the skytrain which can take you anywhere.

Im sure if you book your flights they have deals with the airlines worth looking into if not they have a website i think the price is around 1500-1800 if i remember rightly?

I have heard that the Patumwan Princess hotel has a great pool and excellent fitness centre. The hotel is actually right next to MBK so if you want to shop just walk through from the hotel if you canget past the smell of coffee from the cafe between the two.
