Laos National Tourist Visa Via Bkk Embassy

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a friend that wishes to take his LAOS girlfriend to Australia for a holiday.

Has anyone had any experiences with this situation? Would it be better to apply for the visa in LAOS or should it be no problem at the Embassy here in Bangkok?

Thx

Well I have a Lao partner, but aren't Australian. It depends, if your country has an official representation (as in consulate or embassy) back in Laos, then that would be the most obvious place to start.

My home country incidentally doesn't have any Embassy or consulate in Laos, so I indeed need to get to the Dutch embassy in Bangkok for Visa matters, as they handle Thailand, Cambodia Laos and Myanmar.

Again a question asked on behalf of a friend, that seems to be the norm on here nowadays :o
