Nice day out..

Thanks all -I've heard that coral island is nice, can you stay there over night?? what's Racha like?

Both coral and racha do have rooms on them.. Never stayed overnight tho..

Racha Yai would fit the bill. Just take into account that the diving is limited from there, with the only options the divesites at Racha Yai and Racha Noi.

Have you considered going to a quiet beach on Phuket and dive from Phuket? Much more divesites are within reach, and you'll still have the tranquility you're looking for.

i used to live on ko yao noi and there is only one diving company there who are located in lom'lae resort. they have a great boat, good gear and all the dive masters speak great english. they go to very quiet and little known sited in phang nga bay and you wont see other divers there. worth a look.

what about Koh Yao Yai... there is a nice resort and dive center : ) quite nice. The resort has a speed boat come pick you up at Boat lagoon pier, only 30 minutes. I was there last Christmas ...

The only problem with both Yao Yai and Yao Noi is that the diving from there is really not very good.
