My wifw landed on friday at Suvarnabhumi Airport, with our 3 kids and lot´s of luggage. She later found out that she forgot a suitcase when she travelled to her home.

1. She can´t travel back from home as we have 2 little children, and an 8 hour drive plus visit at the lost&found would be too difficult for her.

If the suitcase would be found, is it possible that a brother that lives in BKK could pick it up for her ?

2. Would it be possible that she could get it back when arriving for departure in 4 weeks and then hand it over to her family.

It´s only some gifts for her relatives, nothing of high value

Has someone a email adress of the lost&found department at suvarnabhumi ?

Hi Mike

The same thing happened to me, after calling them many times I still had no luck, In my case it was Thai airways, I had to go to the airport in person and fill in a lost / left luggage form with Thai airways, which is in the baggage claim area, she will need to take her passport and luggage tag with her.

They found my bag the next day and delivered it to my home, no charge.

You could try going to a travel agent and see if they can help contact the airport / airline on your behalf.

Find out who are the baggage handlers are for your specific airline and call the baggage handling tel number. (lost and found department) If you do not knowe the handler , cal the airline local number and they can advise.

Hopefully you have retained your luggage tag so quote it. (if not state you name, flight number and date of travel and they will will you within a few minutes if they have located it.

You then have to visit the airport with your passport and enter through a securtiy gate on the arrivals floor. (cannot remember gate number....)

You will be acompaied throogh to the baggage claim area where you are free to visit to the relevent baggage desk to reclaim your bag. You the exit through the normal exit (though customs nothing to declaire)

I've done this twice..and was very impressed with the efficiency. Not impreessed with my ability to remember how many bags I have though !!
