my wife has bought a car on finance over 5 years. i have been paying for the last 2 years for the finance and we have another 2 years to go. The finance is in my wife's name and i would like to add my name to the finance details. Is this possible and who will own the car when the finance is paid off....................thanks

I think someone said that if a person other than the registered owner could prove they had been making the repayments (perhaps in total) then the vehicle could / would be transferred to them if they petitioned someone - who I don't know.

I think that thread may have been on the subject of a broken relationship where the guy was paying for the car.
