Scanned from a print I made some 30 years ago. All manipulation done in the darkroom (pre-digital/photoshop days)

Could have been better in hindsight (only a kid then) but too late to address now - no negative! A little bit "iffy" in todays terms but I still like the effect.

I seem to remember Contax 35mm and 50mm Planar lens.

Ilford FP4 developed in ID11- for those of us old enough to remember this was the definitive combination

Somewhere in Menorca

I see what you mean --the whiteness in the tree branches, right?

But otherwise, a very dramatic shot, ever been back to see if the tree is still there?

The whiteness both in the tree branches and the outer peripheral. I could have corrected this in Photoshop before submitting but I wanted to keep it exactly as I printed it all those years ago to show where we were then, and where we are now. I used to visit that particular area quite a lot in my youth (1st world war era :o ) and sit on this bench. However, it's been many years since my last trip. I would imagine knowing the isolated location that it's still there.

Nice shot.

You didn't use infra-red film with red filter?

Thank you.

No infra-red; as stated FP4, but I seem to remember a graduated filter. I then spent seemingly hours dodging and burning to get the sky effect. You might remember how we had to dev lots of test strips first, then cut out the required shapes to hold back/enhance the exposure whilst under "the lamp" - Glad we moved on for sure :o
