Anyone Good With A Drawing Program?

Recommended Posts

I have been trying to create one in MS Paint but seem to be line-drawing challenged.

We just need something VERY simple (we are old) that shows the location of the McDonalds Pavilion for folks who may be coming from various directions. It should include Loi Kroh Rd from the moat, Changklong Rd, Narawat Bridge - just the simple basics that will work for people as simple as I seem to be.

Ain't got no money but can offer heaps of gratitude. This is just for our VFW website to help members find our new meeting site at Dukes new restaurant in the Pavilion.

Can receive email attachment or fax or... PM me...

Thanks.

Thanks Binky Blill.

That's actually not too bad for those of us who are familiar with CM. Gotta admit that I initially accidently saved to to my porn folder where it was immediately eaten and digested but my second attempt went well.

I was kinda hoping for something that shows the Pavilion itself and labels it as McDonalds/Dukes but this may work. Now if I can just figure how to add things to this map, like putting a name on Changklong Road..

Thanks, little feller!

Anybody else?

Happy now Duster? Just think you are in a Huey looking for a hot LZ.

That's better BB, thanks. The spelling is a bit off but I don't think anyone will notice.

Done too many hot LZ's thanks - I only head for cool ones now...

Wait till I'm back next week O Dusty one. I'll get my kids crayons out and see what we can do.. :D :D

Yeah, right :o

I was at your house, remember? When your kids were begging, "Please Dad, can we borrow your crayons?"

And you wouldn't LET them? :D

Oh, and how did you find this thread? I thought you and a few of your friends were 'scroll-challenged'... :D

Holding me ransom, are you? :o

I usually send friends to the Top North Hotel (or Top North Guest House). It is right at Town Central with easy access to everything and runs about that price. Off the main street a bit, decent swimming pool, decent food right out front..

They are still showing 7-800B/nite for standard fan/aircon rooms but you may be able to deal since the season is slowing rapidly; or ask for a weekly rate.

Golf courses came up quite recently and can be found with a simple search or someone may recommend if you tell us what you are looking for.

Happy travels!

If you want to modify an image first save the image in any folder you wish then right click on the file and "Open With" Paint or Photoshop if you have the programs.

good morning,

have a look at the map here.

http://www.lostinasia.net/maps/vfw.php

its a bit cut from a whole map so it can cover more area if you want.

let me know any alterations required.

cheers

Well.. If you could color the moat a more realistic brown and the river a bit more blue with delightful little ripples on the surface of the water...?

KIDDING!

This is what I had in mind - something uncluttered by all the hotels, Wats and other commercial establishments.

Thanks and don't change a thing!

I have also bookmarked your lostinasia site and look forward to exploring it further.

Thanks again, Dustoff

Haha, as soon as I have my first computerized car, you will be the first one I invite for a ride. :o

Thanks. :D Got both programs, but when right-click only give open with ACDsee Pro, Photoshop and Imageready or something. Still no time to study photoshop, though. :D

Click on Start, go to All Programs, Accessories, Paint.

In Paint, click on File, then click on Open. Browse to the saved file, which then opens in Paint. Save another copy called 'FilenameBACKUP' or something similar.

Experiment with using the various drawing tools in Paint to add things to the map. If at any time you want to start from the beginning, just open the backup file you saved earlier.

Never!!

(But I might give in if you allow me to take you for a quick squirt to Lampang and back on my little motorbike.)
