The three-headed elephant (Erawan) museum, around sukhumvit 107.

The total height from ground to head is 43.6 Meters. The elephant size

is H x W x L = 29 x 12 x 39 Meters.

250 tons is the total weight: 150 tons for the body and 100 tons for the head.

Bus no. 25, 142, 365 and air con bus no. 102, 507, 511 and 536.

The fee is 150 for adults and 50 for children (incl. worship stuff).

Open everyday from 6am to 6pm with a guide.

Agree....great day out.

I can just about see the 3 heads from my condo (15th floor)as well as Tesco/Lotus and Makro on other side of See Nak Rd and would say it (Chang Yai) is a really good deal.

Mate who came with us was on prev.visit was so impressed that he has renamed his Thai Resturant in Enfield (Middlesex) the "Happy Elephant" after a visit.

First went there about 3-4 years ago when it was being built (Aussie Company)and the whole thing was a nightware with the main Suk Road a dustboal,site half completed and thousands of Thais lighting joss sticks at the same time...

Now very nice......and no 2 price rip off (please dont krup) :o
