Govt Vip Bus To Krabi From Bangkok

Featured Replies

I'm travelling to Phi-phi on 23rd Oct via Krabi. Is there a way to reserve in advance (2 days or more) for the Govt (Bo Kor sor) VIP bus from BKK-Krabi at southern bus terminal ?

And, how far is the ferry from bus station in Krabi ?

Thanks

i think

the joint ticket is also good alternative

which u can find it at any agents on khoa sarn rd.

From what i rememeber i booked the Govt bus from Hua hin to Krabi and it stopped on its was from Bkk, i used a local travel agency who phoned them up. The Krabi bus station is just outside the town but only a 10 min songtaew away no problems.

Interesting!

I have never seen a VIP bus run by the Government.

Guess I have been living way out in the countryside to long.

The excellent Government run buses don't sell tickets through agents. Apart from Thai holidays just fetching up at the bus station 30 - 60 minutes before gets you a good seat.

The private VIP service sold through ticket agents is overpriced uncomfortable rubbish. There are many horror stories of dangerous driving, theft and dishonesty about the route, seats etc.

Avoid.

I took a bus from Bangkok to Krabi once. While the senery was nice I would never do it again. I would recommend flying. It not that exspensive. I have heard there are airline wars going on now so a ticket should be cheap.

I'm finally back in bkk after a pleasant trip to Phi-phi...

I booked the BKK-Krabi Super VIP bus from Lignite tour, which operates from Southern bus terminal. (A TAT call center operator suggested me...)

I could advance book through phone 02-4355016, and collect the tickets at the terminal. They cost me 710 Bt. The Bus was excellent & no hassles...

Very punctual.

The Bus was a true 24 seater, with plenty of leg space. The reclining seats were close to being horizontal..!!!

And, the seats had adjustable tensioner for your back.. And this can run in automatic cycles..!!! There's even a small pillow to support the neck. This was so amazing....

Just some feather touch buttons to operate these features....

They play a Thai movie until 10 PM. And dinner is arranged in a hotel at 11 PM. A warm blanket will make u sleep in bliss...

We left BKK exactly at 7PM and reached Krabi Ao-nang village by 6.30 AM. We were just in time to take a 9 AM ferry from Ao-nang to Phi-phi.

***** stars to this bus..!!

Thanks for letting us know how it went... I shall probably be using this service soon and now I won't worry about it...

Was bt710 for both tickets or for each ticket ?

cheers
