My hubby has need for a rental car for a few days this month in Udon. Anyone know of a good, reliable place with good prices, preferably less than 1000baht/day? Greatly appreciate any help. :o

I have rented from Lek and have found them reliable, prompt and they will provide you with a good car.

I will recommend them as well.

999 baht a day is only the price for a monthly rental but they are still cheap even at the daily/ weekly price. I have had a few cars from Avis which is good for me as our house is half way between Udon and Khonkaen so if I wasnt I can return the car to KK instead ,and unlike here in the UK there is no extra fee ( between £40 and £75) for dropping at a different Avis branch. they have always been helpfull and last time I had no creditcard with me so they didn't take a deposit :-)

I had good luck with Mali_thai which is thai owned and right at the airport in Udon.

They seem to have a lot more cars on offer.

And 999/day was the inclusive price on a new Vios for a rental of less than one week.

I'll be using them again in another couple of weeks.
