stuandchris Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Can a few people tell me how much they pay for electric here in Phuket per unit? Everyone I talk to seems to pay different, anywhere between 2 and 8 Baht a unit. This is Gov power I am talking about, not temporary. Ta
LivinLOS Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 It varies depending on the amount you use.. The lowest used units per meter are the cheapest. I have had non gov meters and no no meter at all !! but I would think 3.5 - 4 baht per unit would be a good guess.
chickencurry Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 Ours is working out at 3.88 a unit - this has been consistent over the last 3 months (only moved into our home in January).
HDRIDER Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 HI I know some land lords charge a bit more than the meter, i dont know why
DrDave Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Electric Company Meter - single family residence: March: 3.22 baht/unit (416 units) April: 3.35 baht/unit (581 units) Both rates include the "FT" surcharge of .6886 baht/unit (whatever that is), but not the 7% VAT.
Macx Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 I've been charged (by landlords) as high as 8baht/unit (didn't stay around long).
naka Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 I've been charged (by landlords) as high as 8baht/unit (didn't stay around long). Yes, most landlords seem to charge Bt 5 and up ... Bt 8 is a bit rich Naka.
