I am a French girl of 23 y/o, living in Chiang Mai for 10 months. I am doing some voluntary teaching at Wat Suan Dok but I am looking for part-time job, like giving French private classes or doing some translation works. I already have a non-immigrant B visa and Wat Suan Dok applied for a work permit for the French classes over there.

My CV is included - Please contact me for further details

Just in case you didn't realise, your work permit only covers your work at the Wat. It's unlikely you'll run into trouble giving private classes but you should be aware of where you stand, legally.

There are numerous websites on which you can find freelance translation jobs (send me a pm for some, if you like). If you earn money from outside Thailand, you're not in breach of your work permit conditions.

Of course, you may be looking for interaction with locals just as much as some extra cash. I think you should be able to pick up some private classes if you advertise widely. You could have some cards and/or flyers made in Thai, English and French and leave them around the international schools and universities as well as cafes, pubs etc.

There are some translation companies here you might apply to, also.

I don't recommend email as a contact medium here. Visit in person and leave print copies of your CV.

There's an Alliance Francaise here; worth going to make some contacts.

Best of luck.
