Yorkshire Pudding Eating Contest

Featured Replies

Just recieved a reminder from Grahame down at The Pub about the 5th annual Yorkshire Pudding Eating Contest. I'm passing it on for others who may be interested. It was won last year with a whopping 21, great fun (for those watching!) It's on Wednesday 8pm after the weekly draw. Any pudding champs out there?

Cheers

Yos

OK I've just got to know - how many did this year's champ eat?

25 :o

Maybe waffles with real maple syrup, but not Yorkshire Pudding. Doesn't do anything for me. :o

25 would certainly do something for you ....and all of it bad ..... bunged up for days I would have thought. But the glory of winning or the fun of taking part - all good fun I suppose.

It was a regular for Sunday dinners when I was a kid, the leftovers served up with a fearful teeth rotting concoction known as Golden Syrup for desert.

I have only had it once or twice - in Thailand - and I would imagine that it wasn't even close to the best. All I can say is that I wasn't impressed by what I tried.
