Additionally, 73% of locals recommend the city’s culinary scene, while 67% appreciate the nightlife and 72% find it easy to make friends. Ho Chi Minh City also received high praise, especially for its food and nightlife, with 75% and 70% approval scores, respectively. It is regarded as a feel-good city, boasting a 75% happiness score and a similar percentage of residents finding it easy to make friends. Melbourne, Australia, topped the list, with Shanghai, China, following closely behind. Experts note that the rankings reflect both the vibrancy and affordability of these Vietnamese cities, attracting residents and tourists alike. The survey's combination of resident feedback and expert insights aims to showcase urban experiences that locals value most today. Looking forward, both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City may continue to draw international attention, enhancing their appeal as top global destinations.
