Wanted - Old Memory Chips

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I need some old memory chips for my keyboard - they're the same kind of memory that was used in old mac computers. Here are the details:

32M

72pin simm

non parity

EDO/fast page

60ns or faster

11 bit addressing [8 chips on each side]

if you know where I can get them , please let me know.

TIA.

you will get the old 72 pin simms in pantip, just hunt around on the upper floors, though bargain hard as I am sure they will know they are getting rarer. also you might want to get them to prove they are ok by plugging them into an old 486 board and kicking it in the guts. though this will not tell you if they are totally ok unless they have a machine that is running and you can run a dos memtester on them.

I think I have some in an old P1-200MHz box I have standing around ... Probably 4 x 32 MB or so ... PM me if you're still looking and I'll check it out.

Pentium 1 boxes normally had 142 pin strips (72 pins a side)

I just checked, it's 4 x 32 MB, 8 chips on each side of the PCB. The edge connector has 72 connectors on each side for a total of 144 connectors. The chips are labelled NANYA NT511740C5J-60 so presumably 60ns.
