I understand there are car ferries to these islands.

Where do they go from? Mainland and Samui? How much? How often?

any more info?

I can't seem to find a web site.

Hi Im not sure on the cost to take your car to the islands, Only travel by bike, but to get to Samui and KPG you leave from either Donsak or Surat Thani. I think it is best to book and Seatran can be booked online and paid for at a bank. Not sure which one but it tells you online. They leave around every hour. To get your car to Koh Tao you have to leave from Chumphon and it is a night ferry. The ferry leaves from old Pak Nam betwen the town and new Pak Nam It leaves around 10pm and gets to Tao around 5am Hope that helped :o

So no service from Koh Samui then....I was informed that the Seatran was passengers only....and the night ferry from Chumpon

Seatrans from Samui is passengers only --they stopped running the car ferry recently :o

Seatrans also runs car ferries from Don Sak but only a few times a day. Raja Ferry to Phangan also departs from Don Sak and leaves at 6am, 8am, 10am, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm.

I am not sure of the Seatrans new schedule from Don Sak but believe it is early am and only once or twice day.

So if I want to take my car to samui AND KPN, i have to go back to the mainland to get from one to the other - right?

right, in Donsak you can choose either car ferry to samui or at the same pier for phangan, by Raja-Ferry's. The Samui-Phangan Seatran Ferry has closed down it's service again recently. For samui there is Seatran Ferry to, in Donsak.
