US citizens: Time has almost run out to apply for your absentee

ballot, but if you are already registered you can still vote if

you act quickly (and resourcefully).

First step is to go here, get a form and fax/mail it in to the

number/address provided...

Personally, I had my ballot sent to my home address in the USA,

and will get someone there to forward it to me (by express post

if necessary). If you apply for an absentee ballot, but don't

get it in time, you might still be able to vote using the write

in ballot.

Most deadlines for absentee ballots are after October 20 - but

best act now. With the polls showing a dead heat, expats and

travelers votes could well decide the election. Not a bad

thing, I think, so...
