Planning a trip to Koh Chang in late October and wondered if anyone has any advice/recommendations for a fast, reliable form of transport from BKK airport to Koh Chang. I'd prefer to travel by car, has anyone used this method? If so, how much and how long did it take. Many thanks

Fast ? Why dont you just fly from BKK to TRAT airport and then get the minibus to the

ferry ?

Or if you dont want to fly....by car about 2.5 to 3 hours to the ferry, why dont you hire a car...Koh Chang is a bit limited if you dont have a car to get around....forget a motor bike...too many big hills...

BKK to Trat via Bangkok Airlines is very easy way to get there. About 45 minute flight, quick bag collection from charming "airport". The airline operates a handy airconditioned minibus from the airport to the hotel of your choice at about 320bht single including ferry cost. This takes about an hour, including 30 minute ferry ride. So say about 2 hours from BKK.

But agree with Tomkagai that car is best bet on KC itself, which can be rented there. We got airconditioned jeep for about 1,000bht for 9 days.
