at that price i'm sure you will have many offers as that sounds very little money really for renting a new house. most would pay that for a room or studio apartment. are you sure you have got the price right?

Of course he's sure. You can get houses bigger and better than this for the same price in bannork Isaan, but they can remain empty for months/years. It's a question of supply and demand, and the sad reality is many Isaan villages are steadily depopulating, as the young move out and the oldies slowly die off. Until, there's employment options outside farming, this will continue to be the case, I'm afraid. :o

So its isolated and in a village....The reason I ask is I'm unfamiliar with the area of Sangkha. Personally I don't know this gentleman's circumstances but to rent out a new house like that to the wrong person for too little money would likely turn it into a pig sty in no time at all, especially if rented out to Thais who seldom care about the up keep of their own home let alone someone elses. If it is as remote as you say then would it not be better to sell rather than rent it out. If the property was to be trashed for the sake of 3,000 baht/month (US$92/month) it would be a real shame. This looks like someone has spent a million plus baht to build. Maybe better to keep it or rent out to a farang only. Someone on here may have a spouse or GF from that area and need a place to live or stay so not entirely impossible I suppose.

the price is right but i only rent it out for falangs i have a house in surin where we stay and are sorry that this house is empty there are around 70 houses in the village and there is about 7 km to sangkha with a good market and a lot of shops and 55 to surin so in about 40 minuts you have big c tesco and makro and offcouse the famous farang connection

I agree - nothing wrong with price!

Take some pics and hang up at FC/Nobbi/Oasis in Surin. That's where most farangs in the area occasionally drop by. :o

Best of luck :D

Or better still, drop by with some photo's and I'll put it on my web-site. Put one on from SangKha last week, but at 45,000 a month it's a tad larger than yours.

90% of the bar ladies are from Isaan, so maybe they are heading for the bars.
