Farang Women & Thai Guys

My wife and I have been in Thailand for 2 months now, I am a teacher and she works in Real Estate; I'm from Denmark and she is from Sweden. I have been working very hard to establish a good working relationship with my employers and of course rewarding experiences by getting to know and teach my class of students.

However...

Thailand is ruining my relationship with my wife, I am working extremely long hours compared to my wife; continuing my work well into the night at home. My wife really enjoys the Bangkok nightlife and complains that I never have time to go out with her into the mayhem and fun of BKK at night. I am simply determined to do as best job as I can for what I am employed for, I am too motivated by work.

I know have an itch that she is seeing somebody; I have spoken to another Ajarn regarding the matter who claims to hang out in Thai "Hi-so" joints. He claims to have witnessed my wife socialising with a such crowd and has witnessed her leaving said places holding hands with a Thai Guy - this is very painful for me - I just have few questions I hope you can answer before I confront my wife as I love her very much.

Do Thai men have an affection for Farang women; I hear they can be very xenophobic? What is an Hi-So Thais typical earnings? According to my informant these guys work with interior design and architecture, can I really compete with these guys; I have a fairly basic salary?

Finally, do Farang women really go for Thais? Some bigot tells me that farang women are not into Thais and may not get any action for months because all the farang men go for the Thai girls?!

I hope you can help and I'm prepared for the worse, it may result in a case of returning home.

If she has genuinely been seen holding hands with a Thai guy get rid of her. Don't go running off to your own country, get a small apartment here and enjoy yourself. Do not let this woman break your heart, but if she does, then what better place to recover than Thailand.

There are no grey areas if she is being unfaithful.

Cut her loose, you will not regret it when the pain goes away, and it will! It always does.

She earns alot of money , I don't want rid of her yet, there is no concrete evidence of her holding hands with this guy. Also I'm not into the Thai women; you can't beat blonde hair and fair skin, though someone did tell me "once Asian, then every occasion", is this for real?

FYI I have been married to my wife for nearly 14 years, theres alot of strength there.
