Anyone know the approx price of 2 tickets to the UK from LOS?

What chance do i have of getting them for around the 16th of december? (too close to christmas?)

Any suggestions?

Depends where you want to go and if you don't mind changing flights somewhere.

I am going (well, we are going if she ever gets that VV interview ) to Birmingham from BKK around the same time as you. There still seem to be tickets available going via places like Frankfurt or Munich (Lufthansa or Thai), or Zurich (Swiss). You could also try SAS or Thai via Copenhagen, or KLM via Amsterdam.

I suspect the direct flights to Heathrow are probably full-ish, as are Emirates via Dubai (they're always full though).

Sorry, no idea about prices.

Try Gulf Air via either Bahrain or Abu Dhabi to Heathrow. Bahrain is the better transplane stop as the facilaties are light years better and the airport is clean. It is not "dry". Need to book early as they fill up very quickly, I went in September this year and got a ticket via a travel agent for 27,600 baht, probably more expensive now due to fuel surcharges, Christmas is also high season.

I'm flying with Phuket Airlines to Gatwick a week or so before you... There were still seats available when I checked the other day - costs around 28,000B...

Emirates single 18000 Bt per person, return 31,000 both include taxes. This is to Gatwick. If you want Heathrow is more expensive

GF went and asked today, only got one quote 37000. seems a bit step, well more vertical actually, However did say had loads of seats. No wonder at that price.
