Country Store And Bakery

Featured Replies

There is so much discussion about the coming and going of A&P Bakery which seems to upset a lot of people.

Soon Chiang Rai will have another choice of European style whole grain breads. The construction of Don's New Bakery in Doi Hang should be finished by the end of this month.

The country store should also open near the end of the month providing quality meats, cheese, sausage and Mexican food products and other goods not available else where in Chiang Rai. Not a large store but will be able to source things that you want that are not stocked.

New staff from Phuket are in place to provide better service for Don's Cafe and food products.

I'll be there Don.

I won't , too far out of the way and if like the rest of the stuff, way too expensive.

Tourist Inn is not bad and the price is better than A&P.

I think quality, price and location are important.

Fair enough, I drive 21 kms to town anyway so it's not much out of my way.

I think obtaining decent bread is no longer a problem in Chiang Rai but I'd certainly at least take a look at an alternative to the cheese and small goods available.
